AirDrop photos as PNG
Share photos with Ping Drop instead of AirDrop. They're converted to PNG on your device and sent straight to AirDrop.
Why? iPhones save photos as HEIC, which many Windows PCs, Android phones, older software and websites can't open. Ping Drop sends a PNG that opens everywhere, without an extra converter app or extra steps.
How it works
- Mac: select photos, choose Share › Ping Drop, and the AirDrop window opens with PNG copies.
- iPhone and iPad: tap Share › Ping Drop, then pick the nearby device. Your photos arrive as PNG files.
- The converted copies are deleted as soon as sharing finishes. Your originals are never changed.
- Choose the image size and whether to keep metadata and location in the Ping Drop app.
Private by design
Ping Drop works entirely on your device. It has no accounts, no analytics and no internet connection. Read the privacy policy.
One purchase works on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Requires iOS 17 or macOS 14 or later.
