Privacy Policy
Effective
In short: Ping Drop doesn't collect, store, or share any of your personal data. Your photos are converted on your device and never leave it, except when you choose to send them with AirDrop or another sharing option.
Who we are
Ping Drop is made by David Adams ("we", "us"). You can contact us at support@adams.is.
What Ping Drop does with your photos
- When you share photos with Ping Drop, it makes temporary copies on your device and converts them (for example, from HEIC to PNG).
- The converted copies are passed to AirDrop or the share option you choose, and they're deleted as soon as sharing finishes. Any copies left behind by an interruption are deleted automatically within an hour.
- Your original photos are never modified, uploaded or kept by Ping Drop.
- Depending on your settings, converted copies may keep the original photo's metadata, such as capture date, camera details and location. You can turn this off in the Ping Drop app. The files go only to the recipients you choose.
What we collect
Nothing. Ping Drop has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs, and it doesn't connect to the internet. We never receive your photos or any information about how you use the app.
Settings stored on your device
Your Ping Drop settings, such as image size and whether to keep metadata, are stored only on your device, so the app and its share extension can use them. They aren't sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them.
Purchases
Ping Drop is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment under Apple's privacy policy. We receive only aggregated sales reports from Apple that don't identify you.
Children
Ping Drop doesn't collect data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we don't hold any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have questions about this policy or your rights under data protection law (including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR), email support@adams.is.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. We will never start collecting personal data without updating this policy and the app's App Store privacy details first.
